After eight years, hundreds of thousands of program applications, BumbleBee Child Care Software is shutting down. We are shutting down July 31st, 2020.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you who’ve supported us along the way. This has been a wonderful journey for us to share with you. We really hope you enjoyed the trip as much as we did.
Potential questions and answers users might have
Q: Will I lose my place in “line”?
If you are a parent reading this, we are working closely with all the centers using BumbleBee to ensure a transition is successful.
Q: What will you do with our sensitive, personal data?
We will treat it as carefully as we have been all this time. We will destroy it no later after one year after your last date of service. Your data will be encrypted and password protected during that time, stored offline and will not be accessible after shutdown date. For centers who need a copy of their data, you can download that from the admin interface by going to Reports — Bulk Export to CSV.
Q: What if I paid you for an annual subscription?
In this unexpected case, we will initiate a prorated refund for the unused service time.
Q: Can I download BumbleBee software on premises and continue running it locally?
As much as we would like to do this, it’s simply not possible with the underlying technology for users to run it privately.
